I often asked myself what is writing. What is this beautiful art that puts letters over the white sheet? I would have wanted to discover an answer somewhat different from those already said. I like writing. Actually, I love writing, that is. I love everything about it. I`ve heard many definitions about it; with some of them, I agree.
I guess, every writer sees writing in a different way. Especially, his writing. Is it possible for every writer to have his/hers own definition of writing? I am not sure, but I can surely accept this and also, agree with it.
Yes, each writer can define writing in his own, personal manner. It`s not something right, certainly it`s not something wrong. It simply is what it is. Writing…Such a beautiful word and art! I totally love it and could never see myself doing something else.
It`s my purpose in life, it`s the reason of my existence and the reason for which I was born. I can feel it. I know it. For me, writing is almost something sacred. I have never taken it for granted nor is it my intention to do so in this life time. I see writing as a gift, a mission that was given to me and I respect it deeply.
Beyond the beauty of writing and the freedom it gives you to create whatever you want, I think there is something much more interesting and profound about writing: it`s about the divine place where it takes you.
I think this is the real treasure of the writing process. The place where it takes you while writing and the way you feel in this magnificent journey. I consider this to be the absolute magic in writing. You can see and discover so many things, places, experiences, characters…Everything is astonishing!
My philosophy about writing is that you can utterly do whatever you want because the creative, limitless space allows you that. You can create anything, you can go in any time you desire, you can create any story your heart wishes to…There`s really no limit or boundaries.
And best of all, you can get to choose up to even the smallest detail. Nothing is enforced over you. So you are free to write only about the stories that indeed inspire you and make your soul smile. This is the beauty of writing and for this, I write.
