Iβve always been the curious type of person, even as a child, and from as far back as I can remember, I’ve always felt a deep connection to the supernatural world – a pull toward stories, creativity, magic, and the infinite possibilities they hold.
The fact that I spent the first years of my life in Austria with my family has only created the appropriate context for this connection to be deepened further.
Our home was surrounded by forests and lush greenery, a constant source of wonder and inspiration for me.
Nearly every day, after returning from kindergarten, I would venture into the woods, captivated by its power and sovereignty, feeling as though it was calling me deeper into its magical embrace.
My mom would always remind me, before leaving, to not distance myself too much which I did.
In truth, I didnβt have to go beyond what felt safe for even though I stayed close but my imagination traveled far.
With each step I took, I expected myself to see fairies fluttering among the trees, dwarfs peeking from behind the bushes, elves walking silently through the mist. I imagined encountering talking animals, wise wizards, and enchanted princes and princesses.
This magical universe was more real to me than anything I learned during my classes and I loved it!
While the kindergarten had its rules, boundaries and limitations, the forest offered me something entirely different:
Freedom. Access to creativity and magic. Infinite possibilities.
And of course, storytelling!
Stories, for me, are more than just words on a page:
They are doorways to other worlds, mirrors of our souls and bridges that connect us to one another.
They carry us to new places, give us hope, help us see the world through new lenses, and maybe, just maybe, they remind us that magic is real.
The forest was more than just a place – it was my refuge, my escape, my sanctuary of infinite potential. I remember feeling so lit up in those moments as if the very air around me hummed with mystery, magic, and power.
There I felt limitless, completely anchored in my own imagination, as though anything I dreamed of was possible.
And even today, the memory of those walks stays with me, reminding me of the incredible magic in the world if weβre open to seeing it.
The seed planted in my heart all those years ago as a child continues to bloom, guiding my perspective on life.
Iβm grateful for that time, for how it shaped how I see the world today – with wonder, curiosity and an unshakable belief in magic, stories and storytelling.
And it`s the only thing that I want to do for all my life:
To create and write stories, and use my passion and love for writing to contribute to people and help make this world a better place.
Thank you, God, for everything.
